Becoming a member of the KVGN will enable you to contribute your ideas to developments in the gas secto, in your personal capacity and in the interests of your work and your company. Our members include more than 450 experts drawn from a wide range of companies and organisations which are involved with gas and other forms of power. The KVGN appreciates your personal knowledge and experience. You can become a member by filling in the e-mail form. We will then send you all the relevant information.
- Members of the KVGN are represented in national and international committees which prepare positions and outlooks for the energy supply sector.
- Members of the KVGN participate in the association’s activities. This helps them keep up-to-date with the latest developments across the entire spectrum of business in the gas industry. After all, an exchange of knowledge and experience is of great value for the performance of all our work. GAS is a core business of these companies.
There are few opportunities for training in the Dutch gas sector. However, as of 2000 GASTEC offers Junior and Senior Vocational Education courses, and the Technical University of Twente now has a special chair for gas-related studies. The KVGN is therefore the tool of choice for businesses to ensure that their personnel continue to expand their knowledge of gas, and to find and keep acquaintances in the gas trade.
The KVGN also has senior members. They organise meetings twice a year, where they catch up with the most important developments in the energy sector. In addition, these meetings always provide the members with the opportunity to renew old acquaintances.
In order to become a member of the KVGN you need to:
be employed by a company or institution which is active in the gas sector,
and you should:
- be a director, deputy director, assistant director, personnel manager or general manager;
- have completed a tertiary study at the level of Senior Vocational Education or university;
- be a manager responsible for staff who have completed a similar level of study.
