Every three years an IGU World Gas Congress and Exhibition is organized. A congress with about 5000 delegates and 17,000 square meters exhibition. In 1999 the Council of the International Gas Union-IGU asked the Royal Dutch Gas Association-KVGN to host the 23rd World Gas Congress and Exhibition in 2006. The KVGN, together with NV. Nederlandse Gasunie and EnergieNed, accepted this invitation. This means also that during the triennium 2003-2006 the Presidency of the International Gas Union is the responsibility of the Netherlands. Mr. George Verberg, CEO of  NV. Nederlandse Gasunie was the President during that period.  Furthermore mr. Bert Panman, Director Asset management Gastransport Services, was the chairman of the Technical Co-ordinating Committee. Mr.Robert Doets, Secretary General of the KVGN, was chairman of the National Organising Committee and Mr. Daniel Vlugt, CEO of OBRAGAS, was chairman of the Exhibition Committee. The event was a great success. In 2009 the Conference has been held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2012 it will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In 2015 in Paris.  More News?
